I first purchased this domain at the beginning of 2004, and it is continued to be hosted at e-starr. It was originally used to store graphics and the like, but I soon got sick of how terrible I was at making them so I stopped. The future of the content is still unknown! Hopefully I'll figure out something clever, creative, and unique to do with all this space and bandwidth.
The name comes from the Abhorsen trilogy. Saraneth is the second-largest bell of the set used by Sabriel and her family. It is also known as the "Binder", used to bind the Dead to the necromancer's will. Since I love the books, and it sounded cool, I thought I might at well use it for my domain name!
The current layout features a photograph I took of some rocks on my front porch a couple of years ago. The editing was done in Paint Shop Pro 8 with various brushes and miniscule amounts of artistic inspiration.
